Add Smile to your Mobile App so your customers can see their loyalty points and redeem their rewards directly in the app.
Connect your Smile account
The integration is set up with a simple "Connect with Smile" button — no API key and no specific Smile plan required.
- In your Makappi dashboard, go to "Settings" > "Integrations" and select "Smile"
- Enable the integration, then click on "Connect with Smile"
- A Smile page opens in a new tab: sign in if needed and authorize Makappi to access your Smile account
- Back in the dashboard, the Smile integration shows a "Connected" badge
- Save and publish the change to finish the integration
What your customers get in the app
- Customers signed in to their store account see their Smile points balance
- They can browse the rewards you configured in Smile
- They can redeem their points for a reward: the app shows the discount code to use at checkout
Troubleshooting

Points don't show in the app: the customer must be signed in to their store account in the app, and must already be a Smile member on your store (Smile creates members when customers sign up or place an order).

No rewards listed: check that "Points products" (ways to redeem) are configured and active in your Smile admin.

The connection failed or was refused: go back to "Settings" > "Integrations" > "Smile" and click "Connect with Smile" again.

The integration stopped working: click "Disconnect" then "Connect with Smile" to reconnect your account. If the problem persists, contact us at support@makappi.com.
